1. Welcome to The Glebe Cottage!

Set in stunning grounds on the edge of St Mabyn and enjoying complete privacy....

St Mabyn is set in the heart of North Cornwall, it features a great pub, a village shop/ post office and 16th century church. The Glebe Cottage is at the edge of the village and enjoys privacy and a south facing garden, a path from our back gate leads you across two fields to the pub.

The North Cornish coast is a short drive away with its stunning beaches and cliff walks.

The Camel Trail  follows the river Camel to Padstow and is accessible from us at Helland Bridge, alternatively the market town of Wadebridge has bike hire. The river Camel has salmon and seatrout fishing, Steve is a keen fly fisherman and will be happy to advise you on day tickets etc.
Padstow has boat trips on the Jubilee Queen which will take you along the coast with a good chance of seeing dolphins and basking sharks. No. 6 is a favourite restaurant of ours,  others include Prawn on the lawn and Rick Steins Cafe.
From Padstow a ferry will take you to Rock . Rock has some great restaurants The Rock Inn has a balcony overlooking the Estuary. St Enodoc hotel has James Nathan. Between Rock and Polzeath is the Mowhay which is one of our favourites. Jamie has No. 1 Rock Road, another good lunch!

Polzeath  beach  has surf schools and a glorious walk to Daymer bay where Sir John Betjeman lies buried in the charming St Enodoc church yard.

The Fishing port of Port Issac is a short drive and is now famous for the Dr. Martin series.

Bodmin Moor is worth a visit and a hike up Roughtor is a must for Poldark fans.

The lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project are both less than an hour drive away.
